Stitching Policy

Shomi Global takes great pride in working with some of the most skilled couturiers in the UAE. Our detailed stitching process allows customers to choose between standard sizing (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large) or custom sizing, for which a measurement form is sent upon order confirmation.

Once the outfit has been stitched, it undergoes a comprehensive quality assurance check to ensure accuracy, craftsmanship, and finishing before being dispatched or handed over to the customer.

As all stitching is done based on the customer’s selected preferences and provided measurements, Shomi Global does not accept claims related to stitching issues after the garment is completed. We encourage customers to carefully review the following stitching terms before placing a stitching order: 

Stitching Terms & Conditions

  • Complaints Window: Any complaints related to stitching must be reported within 72 hours (3 days) of receiving the order.

  • No Chargeback: Stitched products are not eligible for chargeback under any circumstances.

  • Measurement Tolerance: A slight variation of 0.5 to 1 inch in the final stitched measurements may occur due to fabric behavior and tailoring techniques.

  • Fabric Utilization: Outfits are stitched using the fabric provided. If more fabric is required due to sizing or design changes, the customer will be informed before proceeding.

  • Design Feasibility: Certain styles may not be practical due to fabric limitations or design complexity. If adjustments are necessary, our team will communicate with the customer for approval.

  • Color & Embellishment Disclaimer: Minor variations in color, embroidery, or embellishment placement may occur due to lighting, screen displays, or the nature of handwork. Hanging items and decorative accessories used during stitching are subject to market availability. If the exact items are not available, similar alternatives will be used, which may result in slight variations from the original design.

  • Custom Stitching Responsibility: If the Custom Stitch option is selected, it is the customer's responsibility to submit accurate measurements via the provided form. Shomi Global is not liable for sizing issues if incorrect or incomplete measurements are submitted. We strongly recommend understanding how to take proper measurements before completing the form.

  • Defective Stitching: If there is a genuine stitching error from our side, the customer must notify us within 3 days of delivery for the matter to be reviewed and resolved accordingly by our team.

Stitching & Shipping Guidelines

1. Adjustments to Stitching Timelines

  • Order Processing & Payment: In case of any complications during payment or order verification, the estimated stitching duration may be revised.

  • Stitching Phase Issues: Our tailoring team may need additional time due to factors such as:

    • Fabric limitations or shortages

    • Missing or inaccurate size measurements

    • Material defects

    • Intricate designs or special customization requests

    • Other unexpected challenges

    • High workload or unforeseen circumstances may cause delays

If any such issues occur, we will promptly reach out to you via email to inform you of the required time adjustments and next steps.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming your order, you acknowledge and accept that the estimated stitching time may be extended based on the conditions mentioned above. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated.

3. Stitching Duration

  • Dependent on Launch Date: The stitching period is calculated from the official launch date of the collection. If the brand delays the launch, we will notify you and adjust the estimated delivery timeline accordingly. If you choose to stitch pre-booking items, please note that their stitching timeline will also begin only after the official launch date.

  • Possible Timeline Extensions: While we aim to complete all orders on schedule, external factors such as national holidays, political disruptions, or severe weather conditions may cause unavoidable delays. We’ll always keep you updated if changes arise.

4. Customer Communication

We prioritize transparency throughout the process. If any delays or changes occur during stitching or shipping, you’ll receive a detailed email update outlining the situation and revised timelines.

5. Measurement Submission Policy

Customers are requested to submit their measurements within three months of placing their stitching order. If measurements are not received within this time, the outfits will be sent unstitched, and the stitching fee will be credited to the customer’s wallet (non-refundable).

If measurements are submitted after the 3-month window and the customer still wishes to proceed, updated stitching and shipping rates will apply based on current pricing.
